Hi! I’m Becky.

I like travelling, and I like sporting activities. Throughout May and June 2016, I’ll be attempting to pedal, then paddle, to Africa.

This will involve cycling from the UK to the south of Spain on my trusty steed, Winona. I will then tackle the Strait of Gibraltar armed only with a stand-up paddleboard (SUP), dodging cruise liners, Russian warships, and trying not to arouse the suspicion of the authorities.

My cycling experience is very limited, although I was once interviewed by Jon Snow whilst watching the Tour de France in my native Essex:

In fact, until April 2016, I had never cycled further than 35 miles, nor had I set foot on a SUP. It’s been a steep learning curve.
